Coach Kelly Updates:
I cannot believe that we are entering the final week of our season! With our last dual meet on Monday, the divisional on Wednesday, and the finals on Friday, this is going to be a busy week for us!
Before I get to that, though, let me just say how proud I was of all our swimmers at our Tri meet. They swam hard, tried new events, supported their teammates, and remembered to show respect for their opponents. I could not have been more pleased with our performance! Thank you also to all the parents that helped to make the meet a success – we can’t do it without you!
We are swimming InTown again for our dual meet this week, and it should be fun! Warm ups for our swimmers will be at 5, so please try to be at the pool by 4:45. I I have a work conflict, so I will be arriving around the start of the meet. Coach Victoria and our assistant coaches will be handling warm ups and all the pre-meet details, so please give them a hand as much as possible.
I heard from our bullpen parents that things got a little rowdy in the bullpen this week, so please remind your swimmers to be respectful and listen to their bullpen parents!
If you are RSVP’d for county, you should receive a separate e-mail with the details.
Finally, we will NOT have practice this Friday night!
Looking forward to a great final week of our season!
1. The address for Chamblee High School is 3688 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd, Chamblee, GA 30341.
2. We will have directional signs of where to park and the pool location from the main roads around the school.
3. It is an indoor pool with bleachers. We are also allowing swimmers and parents to set up tents outside. We will have an area blocked off for tents in the parking lot on the side of the pool and next to the football stadium. This should really help with keeping everything organized and less chaotic on the inside. If it rains, obviously we will all be cozied up.
4. The pool deck is average sized but can be overloaded easily so we ask that parents please watch the meet from the bleachers and allow the kids to be in the teams area.
5. There will be designated areas for the teams to set up their team area and other areas marked off with caution tape that will be off limits. Coaches, please help us keep the kids in the right locations.
6. There will be basic hospitality items available for coaches and timers and concession for everyone else. The concession will be set up at the main entrance outside.
10 & Under Session: 8:25 am– 8:50am Lanes 5, 6, 7, & 8
11 & Up Session: 12:00pm – 12:25pm Lanes 3, 4, 5, & 6
Since we are swimming for the City of Tucker, we will be sharing Volunteer duties with Winding Vista. Please use the sign-up genius link to volunteer. We will also need parents to assist with the bullpen.
The entries are attached.
Looking forward to a great meet Saturday! Go City of Tucker Swim Team!!!
